'Tis the season
This past weekend was incredibly busy! I had a concert at school (K-12 instrumental music) and two recitals on Sunday afternoon/evening. I was so drained after the weekend, but my heart was full. I love my job, my husband and my family. Nate was incredible and helped me pull off two of the best recitals I've had so far. The kids were AWESOME and played the best Ive heard them. Nate is so gifted and talented and we both have the same desire and vision to teach children to love music. I feel we are successful:) My parents were also a huge help!! God has been so good and he has blessed me with more than I could have ever imagined. I continue to thank the Lord for His grace.

the newlyweds' random ramblings
Nate and I have been married for 9 blissful weeks. Marriage has been everything I hoped for and more. If you ask Nate, he will probably say the same thing? I am assured by everyone I know that reality hasn't hit. I beg to differ:) We lead a crazy busy life together, but I wouldn't trade these days for anything. We love teaching kids, playing music and being involved in ministry together. Nate, along with God, is my source of strength and renewal each day. He is a hopeless romantic who leaves me notes on my mirror each and every morning. I spent more time planning the music for our wedding than I did picking out my wedding dress. We chose this random title for our blog for a few reasons: 1. it sounds cool when you say it together 2. Riffs are cool, open fifths are not. Nate and I want to write a book some day...I have a feeling this blog is going to be a prelude to that journey. A book, why not? After all, our God must have a sense of humor if he puts a vegetarian and a meat packers daughter together.
